The webinar was hosted by ISO/TC268, SAC/TC567, the Management Committee of China-Singapore Tianjin eco city, a member of ISSCC. The ISO37111, a international standards for sustainable development of cities, towns, counties and blocks was discussed on the meeting, and more than 100 representatives from 16 countries attended the conference. ISO 37111 international standard is the first international standard in the field of urban and community sustainable development in China. It is of great significance for small and medium-sized cities or towns to realize sustainable development step by step. The purpose of this exchange meeting is to further promote the development of"ISO 37111: sustainable development of urban / urban / county / block - ISO 37101 phased flexible implementation guide" International standard, soliciting the needs and standardization cases of global stakeholders. Speech by Mr. Zhang Hongfei In his speech, Zhang Hongfei said that the National Standardization Development Outline recently issued by Chinese government proposed to promote the standardization of new urbanization as one of the important tasks. In 2017, China approved the establishment of the National Standardization Technical Committee for sustainable urban development (SAC/TC567) as mirror committee of ISO/TC268. We are committed to supporting sustainable urban development through standardization. ISO 37111 is an international standard in the field of sustainable urban development put forward by China. It is developed around the characteristics and development needs of urban areas, towns, counties and blocks, so as to promote the sustainable development of urban areas, towns, counties and blocks around the world. We hope that experts, representatives and pilot cities will take this opportunity to share experience and contribute knowledge to the smooth development of ISO 37111.
Speech by Dr. Bernard Gindroz Dr. Bernard Gindoz introduced in his speech that ISO/TC268 is committed to supporting urban sustainable development. At present, 31 international standards have been published and 18 are under development. China-Singapore Tianjin eco city has made outstanding contributions to ISO /TC 268 standards, participated in the experiment of ISO 37101, and provided a demonstration for the application of global urban standards. He said that Italy is dominated by small and medium-sized cities, ISO 37111 is very important to promote the sustainable development of small and medium-sized cities, and the Italian standardization agency attaches great importance to the development and application of the standard. Brazil has a lot of experience in the implementation of ISO / tc268 series standards. The government has used ISO 37120 as a reference since 2017. So far, 35 indicators in ISO 37120 have been used.
