ISSCC member city: Dalian shortlisted for Global Smart City Award

On November 15, 2022 Global Smart City Conference was held in Barcelona, Spain, with Chengdu, China as the only global sub-court held at the same time, with the theme of "People - Activation - City", linking more than 600 cities in more than 80 countries worldwide online, creating a domestic and international double-cycle exhibition and exchange system.

The Global Smart City Conference was founded in 2011 by the Barcelona City Council and supported by UN-Habitat, the World Economic Forum, the World Bank and other international organizations and institutions, and is a world-renowned theme conference focusing on the development and transformation of cities and societies in a smart way.

With the theme of "Digital Empowerment of Urban Governance, Technology Leading the Future of Bincheng", Dalian City "One Network, One Management" competed for the World Smart City Award and was selected from 126 projects declared by 44 cities to be the finalist of the Global Smart City China. It is one of the three cities shortlisted for the "Livability and Inclusion Award".

This also marks the success of Dalian Smart City in digital transformation of the city, digital government construction and speeding up urban refinement governance.

With the goal of creating an efficient and collaborative digital government, and oriented to cracking urban governance problems, it brings together the city's urban operation and management data resources, creates six thematic scenarios, docks ten application systems, builds a comprehensive management hub for urban situational awareness, analysis and decision making, event management, intelligent command and supervision and assessment, improves urban governance, and takes urban "smart governance "to promote the modernization of the governance system and governance capacity, to help the city governance more intelligent, scientific and refined.
