During the meeting in France, ISSCC talked with the leaders of AFNOR and participated in work group meetings such as ISO/TC268/TG2 (Collection of cities good practices and needs) and ISO/TC268/TG3 (Supporting the strategic positioning of ISO/TC 268) to fully exchange experiences with international experts.

After several discussions with ISO/TC268 in the early stages, the ISSCC, together with ISO/TC268, AFNOR and the CNIS, determined in April that the ISSCC would hold an international plenary meeting during the ISO/TC268 Plenary Week on 16 June. In early June, the ISSCC secretariat organized a preparatory meeting for the upcoming plenary in France, which invited   Chinese and French experts to deliver speeches, and finalised the agenda and organisational arrangements for the meeting.

On the morning of 16 June, the ISSCC meeting was held as scheduled. The meeting was chaired by Dr Yang Feng from CNIS and was attended by 29 city delegates from China, France, Brazil and Korea, and 23 ISSCC experts and pilot city representatives online.

In his speech, Dr. Bernard Gindroz, chair of ISSCC, expressed his appreciation for the work of the ISSCC secretariat and acknowledged the work of the ISO37101 pilots. He hoped that the ISSCC member cities would actively participate in the ISO37101 pilot program and also hoped that the ISO37101 pilot cities would continue to promote the pilot process and work together to achieve the UN SDGs.

Xing Liqiang, director of the CNIS and chief expert of ISSCC, commented on the progress of the Chinese and French pilot cities, giving advice from a technical point of view and hoping that the pilot cities would take into account the six aspects of ISO 37101 in the development of the program.

Finally, the resolution on the ISSCC was formally adopted at the ISO/TC268 plenary, which will invite more cities to join the ISSCC and share their experiences in sustainable city development.
